It's the first day of fall! I love this season. The crisp weather, the colors, the smells, the spookiness, it all breathes life into my soul. Perfect for curling up with a good book, or a long writing session. Right now, with my story, I'm in the midst of editing and writing. I've gotten some wonderful feedback from my beta readers and now I'm pruning and planting my little darling until she gleams.
The more I work on the story, the more excited I become about the end result. And terrified. I'm reading a little bit about the Southern Poverty Law Center and all they do for immigrants and others marginalized in our country. I also love the Preemptive Love Coalition who stays among the refugees when other organizations leave. Even if violence has calmed down in the Middle East, people's homes are destroyed and their countries are still unlivable. The crises aren't near being over.
